Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and Jewar Airport: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has directed the construction of a connector to directly connect the capital city of Delhi and Jewar Airport with the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. The goal is to connect Jewar through the connector by June next year, while the work to connect Delhi through the connector will be completed by August of the same year.
The construction of the connector is being done in two phases. In the first phase, a 60-kilometer connector is being built from Sarita Vihar in Delhi, passing through Ashram and DND, to round circle park between Faridabad and Ballabhgarh via the loop on the Western Peripheral Expressway at the Gurugram border.
In the second phase, an additional 30-kilometer connector is being constructed from Jewar to Ballabhgarh, which will be between the loop on the Western Peripheral Expressway and Delhi. The work on this project is progressing quickly after delays in the tender process and obtaining necessary approvals from various departments.
It is expected that the Delhi-Mumbai connector will significantly reduce traffic congestion in the capital. With its opening, the pressure of 200,000 to 250,000 daily commuters on the Delhi-Jaipur and Delhi-Agra national highways will also be reduced.
भारतीय राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग प्राधिकरण (NHAI) ने दिल्ली-मुंबई एक्सप्रेसवे को दिल्ली और जेवर एयरपोर्ट से सीधे जोड़ने के लिए कनेक्टर की निर्माण में तेजी लाने का निर्देश दिया है। जून तक जेवर को एक्सप्रेसवे से जोड़ने का लक्ष्य है और दिल्ली को अगस्त तक कनेक्टर से जोड़ने का काम पूरा हो जाएगा। कनेक्टर का निर्माण दो भागों में किया जा रहा है। पहले चरण में गुरुग्राम सीमा से दिल्ली तक 60 किलोमीटर का कनेक्टर बनाया जा रहा है और दूसरे चरण में जेवर से बल्लभगढ़ तक एक और 30 किलोमीटर का कनेक्टर बनाया जा रहा है। इसके खुलने से दिल्ली में यातायात की भीड़ कम होगी और दिल्ली-जयपुर और दिल्ली-आगरा राष्ट्रीय राजमार्गों पर यातायात की भीड़ भी कम होगी।
