**Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway Progress**
The construction of India’s longest expressway, the Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway, is progressing rapidly, with hopes of completion by the end of 2024. The Vadodara-Mumbai section of the expressway was inaugurated by PM Modi last year in October, making it India’s largest expressway project. The estimated cost of the project is 1 lakh crore rupees, and it will be the longest and busiest expressway in the country, stretching 1,350 kilometers.
**NHAI overseeing construction**
The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway project is being prepared by NHAI (National Highways Authority of India) and is being maintained by them as well.
**Cutting travel time in half**
The expressway project will make travel from Delhi to Mumbai much easier. Currently, the journey from Mumbai to Delhi takes about 24 hours, but once the expressway is fully operational, this time will be reduced to just 12 hours. Additionally, the connectivity between major cities will see significant improvements after the completion of this expressway.
**Key features of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway**
The Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway is India’s longest expressway project, spanning a total length of 1,350 kilometers. It will connect major cities such as Kota, Indore, Jaipur, Bhopal, Vadodara, and Surat. The entire expressway will have 30-lane toll plazas, reducing waiting time for vehicles to less than 10 seconds. Additionally, facilities such as car parking, fuel stations, restaurants, service areas, restrooms, and children’s play areas will be available for the convenience of travelers.
दिल्ली-वडोदरा-मुंबई एक्सप्रेसवे भारत की सबसे लंबी एक्सप्रेसवे परियोजना है जो तेजी से चल रही है और 2024 के अंत तक पूरी होने की उम्मीद है। इस एक्सप्रेसवे के शुरू होने के बाद दिल्ली से मुंबई तक की यात्रा सिर्फ 12 घंटे में संपन्न होगी। यह परियोजना 93 पीएम स्पीड पावर इकोनॉमिक नोड्स, 13 बंदरगाहों, आठ प्रमुख हवाई अड्डों और 8 मल्टी-मॉडल लॉजिस्टिक्स पार्कों को कनेक्ट करेगी। इसमें कार पार्किंग, ईंधन पंप, रेस्तरां, शौचालय आदि की सुविधाएं भी मौजूद होंगी। यह एक्सप्रेसवे गुड़गांव से शुरू होकर गुजरत के वडोदरा और मुंबई तक जाएगी।
