**Weather Update in North India**

Weather scientists have predicted winds blowing at a speed of 40 to 50 km per hour in several mountainous states and northern as well as north-western states of India. Delhi-NCR will also experience strong winds. IMD has issued an alert due to the harsh weather conditions, raising concerns about disruptions in normal daily life.

**Current Weather Forecast**

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy rainfall for various parts of the country. Alerts have been issued for heavy rainfall in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, and western Uttar Pradesh. There are concerns about heavy snowfall in the upper regions of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Uttarakhand.

**Expected Heavy Rainfall**

IMD has released the latest weather forecast. According to meteorologists, heavy rainfall and snowfall are expected in the western Himalayas from February 17 to 22, 2024, and in the plains of north-western India from February 19 to 22, 2024. This may lead to heavy snowfall and rainfall in the upper regions of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, affecting rural areas as well.

IMD’s latest weather forecast predicts heavy rainfall in northern India’s plains and mountainous regions. The weather is expected to change from Saturday night onwards, with concerns about heavy weather in parts of Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh. The public is advised to stay alert as strong winds, heavy rainfall, and hailstorms could cause disruptions.
