Several listed shares of the Tata Group have made investors rich. The last trading day of the financial year 2023-24 saw a surge in the stock market. However, Tata Teleservices Limited saw a rise in its share. On Thursday, the last trading day of the week, TTML’s share closed at Rs 73.96 compared to the previous day’s Rs 75.05. The price of Tata’s share fell by 1.45% in one day. Tata Teleservices’ share is Rs 49.80 lower than the all-time high of Rs 109.10 in September 2023 last year. On Monday (01 April 2024), the share was trading at Rs 78.7, up by 6.41%.
Tata Group’s shares have seen many ups and downs. Five years ago, on 22 March 2019, TTML’s shares were trading at Rs 3.06, then on 7 January 2022, they jumped to Rs 263. During this period, TTML’s shares gave a return of 8,944%. However, since then, there has been a sharp decline in TTML’s shares.
In the December quarter, the company incurred a net loss of Rs 307.90 crore, compared to Rs 279.79 crore in the same quarter a year ago. Mumbai-based Tata Teleservices Limited is an Indian broadband, telecommunications, and cloud services provider, a company of the Tata Group. With services such as connectivity, collaboration, cloud, security, and marketing solutions, TTBS has the largest portfolio of ICT services for businesses in India.
In the December quarter, promoters held 74.36% and 74.36% equity, while Tata Teleservices held 48%, Tata Sons and Tata Power held 19.58% and 6.48% equity, and public shareholding was 25.64%.
